About 6 acres in size, Lac Noir is another piece of paradise, surrounded by forests but also ideally located next to our main barn, very easy access for food, toilets and general amenities.


The lake is surrounded by reeds on three sides and the beautiful forest backdrops really enhance the photo of any fish or scenic shots, depths vary greatly from a few ft to nearly 30ft. The majority of the lake is clay bottom with very little weed.


There are 4 pegs in total, all comfortable casting distances, in total we have about 150 carp at the start of the 2023 season. In the autumn of 2022 we have constructed new swims and added new stock including fish over 40 and 50lbs. Most of the very large catfish have been removed.

The lake record is a 63lb common with many young fish to upper 50s amongst the stock. Most anglers catch at least one 40lb fish during their weeks stay. 


Like the main lake, this is not a difficult water to catch from but you have to put a little effort and thought in to maximise results. The margins should not be ignored on Lac Noir and can be very productive.
