Main Lake

The main lake is approaching 12 acres in size and is surrounded by trees along the lakeside, as well as beautiful forest backdrops, a dream setting for that beautiful PB moment. There is an access track for vehicles for unloading of tackle and each of the 10 pegs is supplied with an unhooking mat, retainer and landing net.

This spring fed lake has depths varying from 2ft to 25ft and the fish use every bit of it almost every day. Because of the depth changes you often find they follow particular patrol routes, this means that all of the pegs are capable of catching fish on a daily basis and it’s not very often that one peg constantly catches more fish.

The lakes have some very original stock of fish that are all upper 40 plus or mid 60s, including the biggest at 95lb. These are then backed up with several hundred young fish that are between 26lb and 50lb but growing all the time.

The fishing on the main lake is quite easy and very comfortable, the majority of the pegs produce better results at 60 yards than they do 80 or 100 yards.

They really do like a dinner bell in the main lake, if you feed them they will come…
