GENERAL RULES
- Maximum 3 rods.
- You must not leave rods unattended.
- Only fish the swim you are occupying, do not cast (or bait boat) into other swims around you.
- No angler to be more than 30 yards/ one swim away from their swim whilst fishing, should you need be further than this you must wind in all your rods.
- Exception to the above rule is if another angler requires assistance with either photography or fish assistance. The assisting angler must then return to their swim immediately after assistance has been given.
- Bait boats are allowed but should be used sensibly and within the confines of the swim fishing area.
- After unloading your vehicle on Saturday please park in the designated parking areas for the remainder of the week.
FISH SAFETY AND CARE
- Fish safety/welfare to be always considered.
- All Anglers must use Landing Net, Sling and Unhooking Mat provided.
- All Anglers to have Klinik (or similar fish care product) available (supplies available to purchase at venue).
- Hook link to be detached from rod with fish in landing net before lifting the fish from the water- DO NOT lift the fish with the rod/ rig still attached.
- Fish only to be lifted from water in provided slings. DO NOT LIFT FISH IN NET.
- No Fish should not be lifted above knee height: Any fish estimated to be over 50lb should be weighed and Photographed in the water at the margins.
- No sacking of Fish: Fish may be retained for a short time in the retention sling provided whilst you organise camera and weigh equipment.
- No movement of fish around lake i.e. to take photos etc.
- No bent /longshank and cutting point hooks. No Barbless Hooks, all Hooks to be “crushed barbs”. Hooks must be attached to a minimum of 12mm (1/2 inch) of hook length line directly via hook eye before any other swivel, clip or ring etc. No “Ronnie Rigs”, “360-degree rigs”, “Spinner Rigs” or any rig where the hook is attached via a swivel, link, clip or other similar device. Multi Rigs are permissible (hook attached via a loop in hook length). Minimum Hook size; size 6, Maximum size 2.
- No leaders of any type including tapered leader main line. No quicksilver or lead core. Non-captive rigs only i.e. safety rigs. Any in-line leads must be fished drop-off style (Line on outside of lead).
- Helicopter rigs may ONLY be used with the Korda Heli-safe lead system and tubing (with the Korda Heli-safe tubing kit). This must be set up correctly so as to drop the lead . No other form of Helicopter rigs are permitted, so please do not ask!
- The use of thee “OMC Magic Twig” (or similar) is not permitted.
- When fishing in or near margins, weed or snags, the lead system employed must be designed to drop the lead.
- Only Mono or Fluro-carbon mainline is to be used. Minimum diameter of line 0.35mm and 15lb BS. No braided main line. Tapered mainline (Such as Korda or Fox or other similar) is not allowed (main line must be same diameter all the way through).
- Rig tubing must be used on all rigs; minimum length 45cm (18 inches).
- The owner or bailiff reserves the right to inspect any tackle/rigs
- Any signs of distressed or damaged fish to be reported to owner or bailiff without delay.
- Should you get a fish snagged or weeded, please don’t get impatient and please do not pull for a break; Contact owner / bailiff for assistance.
- If you catch a fish, can you please deal with it immediately before casting your rod back out again.
- No back-leads permitted (you will simply be stuck in rocks).
BAIT
- Only quality Freezer-bait Boilies to be used. No shelf-life Boilies
- No plastic or artificial baits, including toppers and imitation bait stops.
- No cork-ball pop-ups.
- No Tiger Nuts, Peanuts or any other nuts to be used.
- Only Particle either purchased from Fishery or from recognised suppliers (such as Dynamite Baits or Monster Particles) to be used. No home cooked or bank cooked particles to be used.
- High oil content Pellets are not permitted. Only high-quality carp pellets to be used.
- If in doubt regarding bait rules- please ask.
- Boilies, Pellets, Maize and Particle available to purchase on site.
- (Maize is limited to 20kg per angler per week)
Swim Specific Rules
- In swims 6 and 7 when fishing the margins, you must fish your rod “locked up” and drop the lead.
- In swim 10, when fishing up to the bar your rod tips must be fished high, you must fish “locked up” and you must drop the lead. Under no circumstances are you permitted to fish over the bar.
- In 6, 7, and 10, you must not leave your rods unattended in any circumstances.
GROUNDS/ BUILDINGS & LAKES
- Absolutely no litter to be left on the lake/grounds including cigarette butts, discarded tackle/line and tea bags etc. Please keep your swim tidy at all times.
- No hammers, mallets or excessive noise.
- Bivvies must be erected in confines of swim. Not on track, road or grass
- Only Green, black or camo Bivvies are permitted.
- No fires, swimming, excessive wading or any tree climbing allowed.
- Surroundings and wildlife to be respected at all times.
- No knives, guns or weapons of any kind allowed on the lake/grounds.
- No fowling on the lake/grounds.
- Toilet & shower facilities to always kept reasonably clean and tidy.
- No smoking in toilets/showers or inside restaurant/ bar area- Smoking area provided outside.
- No unauthorised cutting of trees or branches etc.
- Boats are not to be used by Anglers without assistance from owner/ bailiff.
- Barbeques and stoves can only be used on gravel base (do not use on grass) and please do not empty BBQ ash on bank/lake. (Please dispose of it in the bins when cooled).
- Please split your rubbish in the bins provided. (General waste/ Recycling / Glass).
BEHAVIOUR & CONDUCT
Any angler acting in an unsporting, inconsiderate manner or making a nuisance of themselves will be asked to leave without refund. Sensible alcohol drinking only please. No drug use on premises.
